Alan shearer couldn’t stop applauding £120m Arsenal player vs Liverpool in tonight clash.

Alan shearer was not impressed with Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko tonight as they took on Liverpool at Anfield.

The Gunners had got themselves into a lead early on before Mo Salah scored a stunning equaliser to send the game into half-time at 1-1.
From there, the second half carried in a similar ilk as the Reds pushed to try and force a winner.
And at times, their cause was being helped by Arsenal defender Zinchenko, who was guilty of more than one lapse when he was on the ball. And after being robbed by Mo Salah around the 52nd minute to present a glorious chance to Liverpool, Gary Neville tore into the Ukrainian.
Honestly he’s looking over to the bench, I’d hook him off. Honestly, take him off, he’s been a liability all night. This is an experienced player. I mean what are they doing, trying to dribble in their own half against this Liverpool team, in this atmosphere,” Neville said.

Zinchenko out of sorts for Arsenal at Liverpool

Some supporters will point to the fact that Zinchenko isn’t a natural defender and to be honest, that was abundantly clear tonight.

There were times when you simple wondered what Zinchenko was playing at. For the goal, he allowed Salah to come inside too easily and smash home. After that, he seemed jittery all evening and gave the ball away on countless occasions.

Mikel Arteta won’t like what he saw from the £32m former Man City man. He was brought in as an experienced and quality player but tonight, he looked out of his depth.

Neville’s words were quite harsh here. But he is right in that in that in big games performances like this could prove costly.
