Arsenal can now sign one of their top attacking targets for just £43m as release-clause shared

Arsenal could actually get themselves a bargain in their search for a new striker, with the release-clause of Benjamin Sesko now being shared.

Sesko is said to be on the list of strikers Arsenal would like to sign if they can’t get their number one target, Ivan Toney, over the line.
Sesko is thought to be open to a move to England and has previously been credited with having a £55m price tag on his head.

However, according to Sky Sports, that price tag could actually be much lower thanks to a release-clause.

The clause comes into play in the summer and given Arsenal look unlikely to get a new forward in this month, it could be a move they’re open to pursuing.

The Gunners’ hunt for a new striker is bound to take them down a number of avenues as they look for the best player and value possible.

Clearly, Brentford star Toney is the main man for the Gunners and his comments this week about wanting a move to a top club will have pricked the ears of Mikel Arteta and Edu.
However, if Toney is unattainable, then a player like Sesko could be a valuable addition instead.

Still very young at just 20, Sesko has a lot going for him already and he’s already a regular for RB Leipzig over the Bundesgliga.

Further, Sesko has also been given the ultimate compliment in being compared to a certain Erling Haaland.

With Toney set to cost north of £80m if Brentford ever sell and other targets like Dusan Vlahovic also being on the expensive side, £43m might appeal as a bargain here.

Lauded on the Bundesliga website for his rapid pace, Sesko would give Arsenal a serious threat in behind given they already have the speed of Martinelli and Saka to call upon.
