Arsenal decide they want to sign 25-year-old striker more than Victor Osimhen or Ivan Toney

Arsenal have a new top striker target now ahead of Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney – it’s Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres.

The Gunners are in a fantastic position, aren’t they? They are currently on top of the Premier League table and have qualified for the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Arsenal are the club to be at right now, and they now want Gyokeres to join them.

Arsenal want to sign Viktor Gyokeres more than Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney
It is almost certain that Arsenal will sign a new striker this summer.

The Gunners have a terrific starting XI and a more-than-decent bench. They are already going toe-to-toe with Manchester City with what they’ve got, but the one thing they lack is a prolific goalscorer.

Many expected Arsenal to try and sign a new number nine in January, but it was impossible for Mikel Arteta‘s side to invest without ending up on the wrong side of FFP regulations.

Things will be different in the summer, and Arsenal have been linked with strikers like Victor Osimhen of Napoli and Brentford’s Ivan Toney.

Now, Football Transfers claim Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres has suddenly emerged as Arteta’s number-one target for the upcoming summer transfer window

The report claims Arsenal feel Gyokeres can ‘seamlessly slot into various attacking positions’ thanks to his ‘ability to play as a centre forward, right-wing, or left-wing’.

That fits Arteta’s vision perfectly, and those traits reportedly set him apart from Arsenal’s two other striker targets, Osimhen and Toney
