Arsenal fans think the club have accidentally ‘announced’ their first summer signing

Arsenal supporters think the club has ‘announced’ their first summer signing in the 2024/25 home kit unveiling video.
The Gunners announced their new home kit for the upcoming campaign on Thursday morning, with the main details including a cannon – which features on the club’s badge – replacing the logo on the right side of the shirt.
Arsenal enlisted a number of stars from the men’s and women’s teams to feature in the unveiling video, including Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, Alessia Russo and Lotte Wubben-Moy.
Some players were missing from the unveiling, but one player that was present piqued the interest of Gunners supporters.
The Spaniard signed for Arsenal from Brentford this summer, but due to FFP concerns the initial deal was restricted to a loan move.
Arsenal, however, do have an option to buy the goalkeeper for £27 million – which they are expected to trigger, given Raya’s fine form between the sticks this season.
He has 16 clean sheets to his name this campaign, and became the first Gunners goalkeeper since David Seaman in 1993/94 to shut out both Manchester City and Manchester United away from home in the same season.
The Spaniard quickly overtook Aaron Ramsdale as Arsenal’s number one shot-stopper – with the former Bournemouth and Sheffield United goalkeeper expected to leave the club as a result.
Speaking in an interview with Arsenal’s official website in December, Raya explained: “It’s been a great change, a great move.
I’ve experienced a lot of things, especially at a club as big as Arsenal.
“It’s one of the best clubs in the world, so the challenge has been incredible.
“I’m just trying to enjoy the moment, every single training session and every time I go on the pitch, to help the team.
“It’s just new challenges that I have never experienced, so just trying to adapt as quickly as possible to a title race and playing in the Champions League for the first time.
I’ve dealt very well with all that stuff, so I’m really happy with how it’s going and hopefully it can go better.”
