Arsenal have now made £34m offer for player compared to Cristiano Ronaldo via email

Arsenal have now emailed Juventus to make an offer for Kenan Yildiz.

That is according to Tuttosport.

So, what is the latest on Arsenal and Kenan Yildiz? Let’s take a look…

Arsenal bid for Kenan Yildiz
Well – according to Tuttosport – the Gunners sent an email to Juventus, informing the Italian giants that they would be willing to spend €40m (£34m) to sign the Turkey international.

The Italian news outlet also share how Juventus responded to this email.

It is said the Serie A side told Arsenal that £34m would not be enough to sign Yildiz – nor would double that amount see an agreement materialise.

Juventus are believed to be building a side around the 18-year-old and have no intention of selling him.

Having said that, Tuttosport suggest that Juventus may not be in a position to reject seriously large bids for Yildiz, with a figure of €80m (£68m) mentioned as a price which could tempt the Italian giants to cash in.

The Turkish teenager – who has been compared to Cristiano Ronaldo – has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign at Juventus this season, making 15 Serie A appearances and scoring one goal.

Arsenal should look elsewhere
As precocious a talent Yildiz appears to be, Arsenal cannot be held to ransom.

The Regensburg-born wonderkid still has a long way to go before he fulfils his vast potential, and if £34m is not enough to sign him at this stage of his development, Mikel Arteta and Edu may as well look elsewhere.

Any sum higher than £34m would pose a risk for Arsenal – the pressure of such a price tag could negatively impact Yildiz, and he may fail to fulfil his potential.

Ultimately, if Juventus really are demanding a sum closer to £70m, Arsenal should walk away – that amount of money can get you a finished article, such as Brentford No.17 Ivan Toney.

In fact, Edu apparently believes he could sign the England international for £10m less than the £70m mark.
