Arsenal to miss out on £112m transfer target who wants to join Chelsea

The player is set to leave his current club this summer with at least four top European clubs in keen competition for his services.
Arsenal have identified several players who could strengthen Mikel Arteta’s squad. Now, reports suggest that one transfer target, valued at £112 million, prefers a move to Chelsea this summer.
Napoli’s in-form Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, reportedly favors joining Chelsea over Arsenal, according to his compatriot and former Blues star, John Obi Mikel.

According to Calcio_Napoli_24 Arsenal, along with two other potential suitors, have initiated contact with Napoli regarding the Nigerian international. However, Mikel Obi is confident that Osimhen loves Chelsea FC and desires a move to Stamford Bridge.
Speaking at the Web Summit Qatar, Mikel stated, “He loves the club. He wants to come to the club. He wants to follow in my footsteps as a Nigerian player who has played for Chelsea. He’s looked at London as well – a fantastic city – instead of going to places like Liverpool or somewhere like that.”
Regardless of the destination, any club securing Osimhen’s signature would acquire one of the finest strikers globally. The 25-year-old showcased his prowess by scoring 31 goals in 39 appearances last season, significantly contributing to Napoli’s first Serie A title in 33 years.
In recent weeks, the 2023 AFCON silver medalist has regained his scoring touch, netting five goals in the last three games.

In addition to Arsenal and Chelsea, another club in the race for Victor Osimhen’s signature is Paris Saint-Germain, reportedly eyeing him as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe.

With PSG’s financial prowess, they could potentially outbid Arsenal and Chelsea in the race for Osimhen’s signature this summer.

Napoli have set an asking price of £112 million for their star striker, setting the stage for what promises to be one of the hottest transfer sagas of the summer.
