Arsenal’s next star striker receives Ian Wright advice and Jamal Musiala message

Arsenal prospect Mika Biereth is excelling during his loan spell with Sturm Graz

A young Arsenal prospect is enjoying a prolific run of form and it has not gone unnoticed. Striker Mika Biereth joined Sturm Graz on loan in January and has wasted little time in showcasing his talent.

Biereth started the campaign with Motherwell, scoring six goals and recording five assists in 15 games. After excelling during his brief spell in Scotland, Arsenal agreed to send the 21-year-old forward to Sturm Graz, who are second in the Austrian Bundesliga and competing in the Europa Conference League.

The striker has recorded six goal contributions in his first seven games for the club, including a goal and assist against Wolfsberger on Sunday. Posting on Instagram, Biereth wrote, ‘What a night!’ and some notable names have been paying attention to his progress.

Biereth can not do much more to impress the Arsenal coaching staff and club legend Ian Wright had some words of advice for the Denmark U21 international. In the comments section, Wright wrote, “Keep working hard.”

The ex-striker was joined by Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala, who responded to Biereth’s post with two fire emojis. Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott replied “Another one”, while Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee, who has previously been linked with Arsenal, posted gun emojis in response to Biereth.

The forward has previously described it as his “dream” to play for Arsenal but it remains to be seen how his career will progress next season. Biereth would be competing with the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah for minutes if he were to remain on the fringes of the Arsenal squad. There were previously calls for the Gunners to sign a new forward during the January window, while Biereth will enter the final year of his contract in the summer.
