Arsenal’s top three transfer targets have been revealed, including Premier League player with most assists

Arsenal’s top three transfer targets have reportedly been identified as the January window edges ever closer.

Mikel Arteta’s men have made another promising start to the season as they are currently second in the Premier League table.

Having played one match less than current league leaders Liverpool, Arsenal can regain top spot with a win against West Ham United on Thursday night.

Ahead of the January transfer window, it has been reported that Arsenal could look to do business as they hope to add more quality to their squad to continue their charge for the Premier League title.

According to The Athletic, Arsenal are looking to sign a defender as the main priority, followed by a midfielder.

It has been claimed that the Gunners are interested in Ajax’s 17-year-old defender Jorrel Hato, who has already been capped by the Netherlands after a string of impressive performances.

Hato’s versatility allows him to play as a left-sided centre-back and also as a left-back, meaning he could be the perfect backup for the injured Jurrien Timber

In midfield, it is believed that the North London club have a long-standing interest in Real Sociedad star Martin Zubimendi.

However, the report claimed that Zubimendi is very loyal to Sociedad and could be reluctant to leave the club during a Champions League campaign.

In addition to Hato and Zubimendi, Arsenal are also keeping an eye on Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Pedro Neto.

The Portuguese winger is currently nursing a hamstring injury but Wolves boss Gary O’Neil has said that the 23-year-old is closing in on a return to action.

Neto is seen as a direct backup to the likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka.

The Wolves winger was in fine form prior to his injury, having recorded seven assists in the Premier League, which is joint-top with the likes of Mohamed Salah and Kieran Trippier
