Done Deal: Arsenal Secure £53M midfielder Signing, Beating Erik Ten Hag to Land ‘Fabulous’ Top Targeted Player.

Arsenal want to sign £53m midfielder who’s refused to change his release clause
Arsenal have been looking at midfield reinforcements.

The Gunners have been linked to the likes of Douglas Luiz and Joao Palhinha as of late, and according to Steve Kay, speaking on KS1TV, there’s another midfielder that the north London club are keen on.
According to Kay, Arsenal are very keen on Zubimendi, and, on top of that, the player himself is eyeing a summer transfer.

Kay says that Zubimendi has refused to increase his £53m release clause heading into this summer as he doesn’t want any difficulty when it comes to leaving Real Sociedad.
Zubimendi has refused to increase his release clause

Romano shared what he knows about the midfielder.

“I think people are getting a bit carried away, I’ve not heard Arsenal are close to anything regarding Martin Zubimendi. He’s a player who is liked by Mikel Arteta and Arsenal, and there have been talks, they flew over to London in 2023, the fact there’s a deal that’s close to being done – no. I also heard that Sociedad tried to up his release clause and Zubimendi refused because he doesn’t want any difficulty in the summer. There’s something there and Arsenal are definitely interested in him,” Kay said.

One for the summer

It sounds as though Zubimendi could well be on the move this summer.

The player sounds very happy with his £53m release clause, and if the Spaniard is as rated by Arsenal as some make out, we wouldn’t be shocked at all if the Gunners were the ones to go and trigger this clause in the coming months.

Arsenal could well be in for a midfielder come the summer, and Zubimendi may well be the man they turn towards as they try to add a bit more cover in the middle of the park and bolster their squad.
