Granit Xhaka has now sent a message to Arsenal after watching Liverpool 1-1 Manchester City

Granit Xhaka has now sent a message to Arsenal after watching Liverpool draw 1-1 against Manchester City on Sunday.

The Bayer Leverkusen No.34 made the comments when speaking to Kicker.

So, what did Granit Xhaka say to Arsenal? Let’s take a look…

Granit Xhaka sends message to Arsenal
Well, the Switzerland international was asked for his thoughts on Arsenal’s involvement in the Premier League title race this season, having come so close to winning the league last term.

Xhaka and the Gunners sat atop the Premier League for most of the 2022/23 campaign, before Manchester City leapfrogged the north Londoners with just a few games to go

Referencing that heartbreaking season and his Bundesliga title charge with Bayer Leverkusen this term, the 31-year-old said: “It’s not so easy to put this feeling into words when you’re at the top for so long and still don’t win the title. I really hope that it doesn’t happen again.

“Sure. Of course we saw Liverpool’s result against City. Of course you’re happy for that former club where you had seven wonderful years. Unfortunately we didn’t make it last year, hopefully it will work this time. They’re doing a great job, winning eight out of eight games recently. Keep it up!”

Arsenal currently sit top of the Premier League on goal difference.

Over in Leverkusen, Xhaka finds himself ten points clear of Bayern Munich thanks to an outstanding season under Xabi Alonso.

How Granit Xhaka is getting on in Germany
Xhaka’s move to Bayer Leverkusen has worked out quite nicely – as things stand.

As aforesaid, the man from Basel sits ten points clear of Bayern Munich in Germany and has a fantastic chance to win his first ever Bundesliga title.

Individually, Xhaka – who Darren Bent feels was a big loss for Arsenal – has certainly pulled his weight too.

The Bayer Leverkusen No.34 has made 34 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal and providing one assist as he brings unerring levels of control to Alonso’s midfield.

Hopefully, Xhaka can lift the Bundesliga this season, while his friends back at Arsenal lift the Premier League title
