Granit Xhaka now sends hilarious three-word response to £30m Arsenal star after Lens win

Former Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka is clearly still keeping a close eye on the club following his interactions after the Lens win yesterday.

Mikel Arteta’s team comfortably dispatched their Champions League opposition, a side that did beat them in the reverse fixture.
But with an upturn in form and an evening at the Emirates, Arsenal were able to run out 6-0 winners.

Naturally, a few of the Arsenal players have since celebrated the win on social media.

And as part of that, Xhaka’s response to Zinchenko on Instagram after Arsenal’s Lens win has been getting some laughs.

Zinchenko uploaded a post with the caption: “Let’s go for more.”

To which Xhaka replied: “Did you play?” with laughing emoji
That seems to be a jovial response to Zinchenko’s lack of activity in the game, a match dominated by Arsenal’s right-hand side.

And from the Ukrainian’s perspective, he must have enjoyed having a less intense evening, a player normally responsible for a lot of the creativity.

That being said, Zinchenko will hopefully be energised for a tough test against Wolves this weekend, who have been impressing under Gary O’Neil.

Granit Xhaka playfully taunts Oleksandr Zinchenko after Arsenal’s win over Lens

Although he has been criticised for his defending at times over the last year or so, £30m Zinchenko is now looking like a vital cog once again.
Arsenal have developed a much stronger spine this season, with Declan Rice looking brilliant in the pivot.
And with Arteta now trying to find the best balance in his starting XI, it seems that the full-backs’ advantages in possession will be needed.

Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba’s partnership is improving all the time, a combination that is rarely leaking goals this season.
And one Arsenal icon has now made a surprising claim about that duo.

All that being said, Arsenal will just be happy to be achieving some good momentum heading into a busy festive period.

And fans will enjoy that Granit Xhaka was still keeping an eye on Arsenal’s fortunes against Lens.
