Ian Holloway says £45m Arsenal player has been unbelievable this season

Ian Holloway has been full of praise for Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus.

Jesus can be a polarising player at times.

Some don’t quite think Jesus is a top player due to the fact he’s not a regular goalscoer in the same way most of the traditional top number nines in this league have been, while others absolutely adore him.
Speaking on the No Tippy Tappy Football Podcast, Ian Holloway has made it clear how much of a fan he is of Jesus, claiming that the Arsenal star has been sensational this season.
Jesus has been sensational

Holloway spoke highly of the £45m man.

“I like Jesus and I think he’s been sensational, for me it’s quite amazing. He’s been under the great man for a bit, Arteta knows how to press high, that’s the secret, the top teams in the Premier League don’t let you have it at the back,” Holloway said.
Room to improve

Holloway is right, Jesus has been good so far this season, but the scary thing is that he still has so much room to grow and improve.

The Brazilian hasn’t been scoring at the rate he usually does, and while he’s never been the most prolific, he’s usually good to at least hit double figures in the league.

This year, he’s not gotten off to the hottest of starts in front of goal, but going into the second-half of the season, that could all change.

Let’s not forget, this is a player who thrives in the big occasions, he’s been there and done it so many times before for Manchester City, and he won’t wilt under the pressure of a title push this season.

Jesus is one of Arsenal’s better players, and he could well end up being one of their most important players towards the end of this campaign as the Gunners push to win the Premier League.
