Ian Wright says Arsenal have a 24-year-old attacker who ‘can do everything’

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has heaped praise on Kai Havertz following his performances recently.

The German is repaying the faith Mikel Arteta showed in him, isn’t he? Havertz has been one of Arsenal‘s best players recently, and he has been receiving a lot of love. Wright has now had his say on him.

Ian Wright says Arsenal’s Kai Havertz is a ‘big game player’
Arsenal star Kai Havertz was arguably the most criticised player in the entire Premier League in the first few months of the season.

A vast majority of people questioned Mikel Arteta’s decision to sign Havertz after his disappointing three-year stay in West London at Chelsea.

Havertz’s form early in the season made things more difficult, but over the last few months, the German has shown why Arteta was so keen to sign him.

The 24-year-old has now scored four goals and provided two assists in his last four Premier League games. He is in fantastic form, and Ian Wright has been really impressed.

The Arsenal legend said on Sky Sports last night: “I think you just look at what he’s done. From the time he has got here, he has done the same things.

Obviously, he wasn’t scoring at the same rate he is now, but he’s a big-game player. He’s our main focal point. He can come off, he can link play, he can intercept – he can do everything.”

Wright then praised Havertz’s movement before his winning goal against Brentford last weekend.

Havertz has been fantastic for Arsenal
Like Mesut Ozil was at Arsenal, Kai Havertz is really misunderstood as a footballer.

The 24-year-old does look like he’s laid-back and doesn’t put in too much effort, but he is one of the hardest-working players at Arsenal right now.

Havertz has been brilliant in so many different ways. He has added goals and assists recently, but his hold-up play, success in aerial duels and the way he combines with his teammates have been incredible.

Mikel Arteta rarely ever gets it wrong when it comes to signings, and after all the noise early on in the season, we’re sure everyone can agree now that he was right about Havertz.
