Arsenal signed Declan Rice last summer for a club-record fee from West Ham United.

The Englishman was already one of the best midfielders in the Premier League at the time. He had just helped the Hammers win the UEFA Conference League, and a number of top clubs wanted to sign him.
Arsenal beat everyone else to his signature, and Rice has gotten even better under Mikel Arteta. He has been amazing over the last few months, and there aren’t many players in the Premier League who come close to his level.

That’s why Rice won the Premier League Player of the Year accolade at the London Football Awards yesterday ahead of everyone else.

The midfielder took to Instagram to celebrate his fantastic achievement, and he received a lot of love from his pals at Arsenal.
Edu Gaspar, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Magalhaes all showed their appreciation in the comments below his post.

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham, on the other hand, decided to poke fun at Rice’s tie.

He jokingly wrote: “Where’s that tie from bro?”
Declan Rice is among the best in the Premier League

Since joining Arsenal before the start of this season, Declan Rice has been unbelievable.

The Englishman has barely had a bad game. He has been so consistent in the middle of Mikel Arteta’s park, and he is one of the biggest reasons why Arsenal are still in the title race. Some say he has even completely transformed the Gunners

Rice has added goals and assists to his game since joining Arsenal. He is showing his class in set pieces as well, and the fact that he’s still only 25 means he will only get better in the coming years.

Arsenal have a massive three months ahead of them as they aim to win both, the Premier League and Champions League titles. Rice will be key if the Gunners are to go all the way.
