Martinelli, Saka, Timber – Latest Arsenal injury news and return dates before Brentford

Latest Arsenal injury news with Mikel Arteta dealt a number of fresh fitness concerns ahead of the Premier League clash against Brentford

Mikel Arteta will be hoping Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli are available to feature against Brentford this weekend. The attacking duo were both withdrawn during Monday’s 6-0 win over Sheffield United although Arteta was boosted by returns for Gabriel Jesus and Thomas Partey.

The Gunners have been plagued by injury issues throughout the season with Oleksandr Zinchenko and Takehiro Tomiyasu still absent. Jurrien Timber is also still missing, although he is edging closer to a return after appearing in a number of team training sessions last week.

The defensive trio returning in time to face Brentford currently looks unlikely, however Arteta will be hopeful that both Saka and Martinelli can recover from their respective issues to play in the clash at Emirates Stadium. Despite the clash not for another four days, Arteta already knows he will be without one player who has been available for the majority of the season
