Tottenham legend Micky Hazard aims dig at Declan Rice after Arsenal miss out on Premier League title

Tottenham Hotspur legend Micky Hazard has aimed a dig at Declan Rice after Arsenal missed out on the Premier League title today.

Ange Postecoglou’s men sealed their spot in the Europa League with a 3-0 victory at Bramall Lane but the opposite side of north London suffered heartache on the final day of the season.

Arsenal were relying on Manchester City dropping points at home to West Ham United and unsurprisingly, Pep Guardiola’s side were typically unrelenting.

Despite some nervy moments at the end of the first half, City picked up a 3-1 win over the Hammers while Arsenal narrowly beat Everton thanks to a late Kai Havertz goal.

It means the Premier League title will remain at the Etihad Stadium for another year at least, while Arteta’s side missed out by just two points

And following yet another thrilling season in England’s top flight, Spurs legend Micky Hazard has wasted no time in poking fun at Arsenal and in particular, Declan Rice.

Hazard aims dig at Rice after Manchester City win Premier League title
Rice made the switch to the Emirates Stadium last summer and it’s fair to say the Englishman has excelled in the middle of the park.

Chris Sutton claimed just yesterday that he believes the 25-year-old deserved to pick up the Player of the Season award over Phil Foden.

Despite an exceptional first year at the Emirates, Hazard took to X and was keen to point at that Rice picked up more trophies in his final season at West Ham.

He wrote: “Credit where credit is due and you have [to] feel for Declan Rice, he’s had an outstanding season and left West Ham to join Arsenal to win trophies but he won more last season for West Ham. The grass isn’t always greener.”
