William Saliba shares how he feels about having played every minute for Arsenal in PL so far this season

Arsenal defender William Saliba has shared how he feels about having played every minute in the Premier League so far this season.

The Gunners powerhouse, speaking on Amazon Prime Video Sport, is understandably pleased about the amount of game time he has been given.

Indeed, Saliba wishes he can go on to play every minute in the Premier League and Champions League this season, hoping he stays fit in order to do so.

The 22-year-old is the only Arsenal player to have played every minute in both of the aforementioned competitions so far this season.

Saliba has completed the full 90 minutes in each of Arsenal’s 15 league games thus far, as well as in each of their five Champions League outings this term.

Journalist Alex Aljoe asked the Gunners defender whether Mikel Arteta had asked him: “Are you sure you’re okay to go again”?

Saliba replied: “I’m happy to play every minute in Premier League and champions league and and I hope I will stay fit all the season.”

William Saliba showing the ideal attitude as Arsenal chase glory

It’s great to hear Saliba express his desire to play every single minute for Arsenal in the Premier League and Champions League. This shows how much he wants to contribute to the Gunners’ pursuit of glory.

Saliba’s injury last season was sadly a significant factor in Arsenal failing to go the distance in the Premier League race.

So far, so good this season, and fingers crossed things continue to go well with regards to his fitness.

If we’re being pedantic, you’d think Arteta won’t play Saliba in their final Champions League group game, with top spot already sealed.

So Saliba may not necessarily get his wish, but obviously his comments show he’s got the right spirit.
